First EP for Aroy Dee, 4 tracks of Detroit techno, can be compared to early work from KMS, Planet E... Amazing, Aroy Dee is from Amsterdam ! On the technical side : compressed 909 rhythm, analog warm sound and moody synth. A really great EP dedicated to the motor city addicts.

We were waiting for the new release of the Question label for a long time. Maybe this is because for more than one year, Marco Carola spends more time spinning in clubs and raves all over the world than making music in his studio ! But, now he's back and this EP is really great : pumpin' and powerful (A1, B1), deep (A2) or housy (B2), the 4 tracks are groovy and brilliantly produced. No surprise this release is listed in many charts. So now, just check these tracks and especially the lovely A2 and B2 !

Jörg Henze & Ingo Boss are the men behind 1dot12. Henze (head of Delirium and Federation of Drums) is very active lately, working with many well known artists like T.P.Heckmann, Toni Rios... This time it's young Ingo Boss (Frankfurt) who has already worked with Henze on Delirium Red 44. A1 could be described as very, very groovy, infectious, hypnotic, powerful minimal techno masterpiece. It drives you all the way to heaven and back. Really one of the best productions lately. B1 is harder and more raw. Minimal German style. Recommended.

Finally. After 3 years of pause Tim Taylor's Fear Of Music imprint is back with another slammin' release. Strong percussions, and dark moody techno - this is Inigo Kennedy at it's best. A1 track scares the hell out of you and you just can't imagine what effect it creates when played out loud. Two tracks on the flip side are in a little brighter mood, although still very playable. Those who know won't sleep on this one.

This EP was out last year and brought on a label managed by the two English producers called Swayzak. The first side has dub sounds, firstly with rhythm and vocals by Shawna Sulek and then with a slower and experimental track. But this is mostly the flip side we pay attention to because of its great dark and minimal techno style. The next Volt 2 and 3 should be out this year...
