Alone on "Transfusion" and "Muzik is the drug", or with Uprock on the "Dope fiend" song, brilliant Exzakt shows once again its dark, hypnotic and deep love for electro. A new master has come !

On the sleeve, it is written in the credits part : produced at Nassau - Bahamas. We can already imagine a warm and coloured music like a Florida orange or something like Ursula Andress on Dr No's beach. Put away your sunbathing cream and your swimsuit because the music comes from Germany... This is minimal electro like Anthony Rother's one, in a more ambient way so that you can listen to it far way from the dancefloor, at home and maybe next to your private swimming pool at Bahamas !

This second record on GFR, Mikael Persson's label, is done by Örjan Thöverstam. This young artist who had just one release before (on the English label Planet Rhythm) produced here four techno tracks in a very Swedish style (like Adam Beyer for example) : dark, groovy, percussive and minimal. Even if there is not really a dancefloor bomb on this EP, these tracks will be very useful during a mental / hypnotising dj set (A1) or to make great breaks in more energetic sets (B1 and of course B2)...

One more great artist from Detroit : Recloose, producer of nice tune on planet E (so this is the dinning room). Groovy house, kind of Moodyman' hardstyle. Two mixs on this 12": Planet E' boss aka Carl Craig goes with an hypnotic house version, xtatic breakbeat and mind-oriented jazz. Herbert blows up the original and mix a brand new track : cutted voice groove like a drum between white noise and bleep, good work from the abstract house' godfather !

Exit the 80's electro from The Hacker, let's go on with hypnotic minimalism. Famous French label from Grenoble invites German Len Faki to develop it's vision of tribalism and techno. A four-tracks EP in a tech' house style close to it's recent productions on such labels as Superbra, Monoid or Turtle Trax. The "Everywhere is nowhere" title is a hit !!

For sure, the two Finnish producers are still so crazy ! On the first side, 80's Hi-NRG disco sounds are used together with pumping rhythm so as to make the two tracks very powerful, fresh and funny (esp. "Join the Party" voice samples !)... On the other side, there is a track based on a classic Russian folk song and its remix done by Ural 13 Diktator's friend : Kosmonaut. Both tracks are also dedicated to the dance-floor but this time in a Trance style... So, we're very curious to listen to their next releases !!

With these 13 electro and techno joined tracks, Paul Kalkbrenner (aka Paul DB+) shows another side of the German sound : smooth basslines, soft or dark strings and sounds, clean and simple rhythm... Some titles remember Heiko Laux 's tracks (on Liquidism for example)... Strangely, this LP is not very innovative but as it is quite soft and hypnotising, it makes you want to listen to it non-stop !! Get it !
