New record for this Swiss label is made by two guys who have about sixty releases behind them so far, so their experience is without a question. Gene Le fosse - Cabron - Tension 12
As dj Surgeon and James Ruskin, Genaro Le Fosse is one those great producers who make strong and innovative techno. On the A side, "Cabron" is a drivin' techno tune, tribal & sexy. On the B side, "Mission Lust" comes back to 90's with a dark ravy synth, sexual female voice and a strong uptempo rhythm : this track will make the crowd really crazy. Don't miss this 12" ! Per Mikael - Solitaire - GFR1208
Back on his own label with a bit different sound than the previous record. I suppose we could call it deep tech house 'cause it has both percussive elements and deep house drive. The picks are A2 & B2 tracks - nice, driving & groovy, real dancefloor smashers. Fine and interesting combination which can not be found anywhere else at the moment. Well worth of checking out. Juan Claudio Alvarez Dehoyos - Lluvia de verano - Tension 11
First release on Tension records (Kirlian aka Abe Duque) for this Colombian producer living in Barcelona (like many electronic artists). "Lluvia de verano" is a dark landscape with a mystic female voice and stressed acid synth (remembering Robert Hood 'early works)... impressive ! On the flip side, "el patṛn" sounds like Kirlian : drivin' & percussive techno, a strong bassline, ready to rock the floor. Don't miss Mister Dehoyos in the future... Highly recommended ! Inbeatwin - Hechoic - Interzone 07
Inbeatwin comes from Grenoble / France but he doesn't even play 80's electro... Minimal house, deep techno, whatever, this artist has an unique style. The long player of the first side runs shuffle techno, a great landscape close to Gadgets and Stewart Walker. On the flip side "Pulp playin " is a great floorfiller : vocal loop, monotone bassline and a pumpin' rhythm... Ready to warm the crowd. www.atome.com/interzone Chaton, 19/08/2002
