V.A - Future Soundscapes - Release Record 02

If you missed Anthony Rother's Psi49net 03 or Asem Shama's Shokoy 26 releases, here's an opportunity to make up for it. Taken from the mix CD by Draco and Exzakt to come on this new US label, Future Soundscapes gathers together four tracks that feature the current electro sound in Germany and in USA. As well as above-mentioned productions, this 12'' will offer two groovy and unreleased cuts from Transparent Sound ("Keep Control") and Larry McCormick ("Transfusion" FS Edit). Classic and essential !!

After Chromatix and Kitlbuilders, here's the new discovery from World Electric owner Andreas Bolz ! Scandinavian Thomas Nyström, in his first appearance before a forthcoming album in 2002, offers a very successful and varied E.P, in the great tradition of this famous Kohln label. Energun 22 - Don't Joke With Robots E.P - Kazumi 25

New music from Eastern Europe !!! Produced by Minsk based duo Denis Sinicin & Egor Soskovets, this excellent E.P (we have never heard so hard on Kazumi !) shows a very interesting vision of the current Russian hard-techno scene. Three awesome and high quality cuts. While "Groove Brothers" hits like a heavy artillery thanks to a fearing bassline, "Don't Joke With Robot's" & "Unconscious Mind" develop hypnotic distortions. If Gorbatchev's children get down to techno music, we'll never stop twisting in Moscow !!!

Oxia vs The Hacker - Goodlife E.P - Goodlife 10

Both masterminds from this well-known French label from Grenoble offer one track on each side of this E.P. On A-side, "Nation", written and produced by Oxia, evolves from tech-house to tribal techno sounds, in Laurent Garnier style. On B-side, "The Last", in an own The Hacker nostalgic spirit, offers beautiful trancy and new wave layers. A very fine way to celebrate Goodlife's third birthday and tenth release !

Ployd - Impressive - Resonant 02

Scott Vallance - Low Orbit City - Facets 003

Facets is Mikael Persson's latest label that tends to focus more on the atmospheric side of techno. On this third release, 23 year old Australian Scott Vallance presents us his own vision of future : Low Orbit City. Four very solid tracks : Detroit flavoured techno with deep and mellow surrounding that would fit perfectly in a soundtrack for some Sci-Fi movie. Beam us up, Scotty !
