V/A - Technosis NN - Technosis 01
First release on this UK based label presents us three classic tracks remixed by Oliver Ho, Thomas Krome and The Advent. Oliver Ho's remix of Chris Liebing's Audio 07 (A1) is a deep experimental piece, great effort by Ho ! "Beta Carotene's Way Ahead" (B1), reworked by Corb's very own Thomas Krome, a minimal techno track with heavy percussions. The Advent's remix of Ian Void "Accordings" (B2) is an excellent build-up track. This is Cisco Ferreira at it's best. Highly recommended. Joso, 17/08/2001

V.A - Endlich Fünfzig EP - Holzplatten 502
Second part (and such a part !!!) out of three to celebrate Holzplatten birthday with heavy and prestigious guests as Solvent Electron Industries, Tim Baker, Andreas Kremer and Jay Denham. Four club-monster tracks, respectively from minimal to acid, tribal and Detroit techno !!! No disrespect for others versions but no doubt Jay's remix is the best one with an amazing dancefloor feeling. Absolutely essential ! www.brixton-music.com Nexus 6, 16/08/2001

User - 13 - User 13 | |
Lucky number for the User crew and as usually nothing but a two cuts of pure looping madness, plus one bonus locked groove. Dirty bassline, funky retro atmosphere along with a crazy chopped out vocals can only be a win-win combination. Watch out for User's latest Extra Lenght release ! Joso, 14/08/2001

Resident Alien - Machine vs Man EP - Frajile 05
"Who's in command, machine versus man ? Look at your computer screen who's really get command !". Few vocoderised words put down on a syncopated bassline, here's the secret of one of the best Frajile releases to date. Written and produced by Miami nu skool electro relief team James Wolfe and Larry McCormick (aka Exzakt, known for his brilliant "Biomechanik" remix on Psi49net), this second and inspired production from Resident Alien duo offers three deep, bass driven, dark and funky cuts (plus an amazing a cappella). "Signal Loss" & "Machine vs Man" titles are masterpieces. www.exzakt.com Nexus 6, 13/08/2001

KEMU - Telstar - Earresistable Musick 01
Earresistable Musick is Umek's latest imprint, and it's actually a tech-house one. Yeah that's right, one of the bussiest techno producers of today has made a house record. Everything from his name in reverse order to the record cover and even the label name reveals that this one was made more for fun than as a serious project. So Umek brings us two tribal tech-house tracks with nice percussions. On A side he did a wicked play with cutted out and reversed vocals, however B side sounds a bit more serious with a slightly deeper approach. Joso, 10/08/2001

Max Duley - Bliss with agony - Arc 04
When Max Duley is in question forget the standard drum loops, forget the standard use of hi-hats too, expect something different. "Backlash Boy" (B1) illustrates this perfectly : chopped out vocals on a dark moody background with very interesting bassline. "Home Is Where The Hate Is" (B2) is a beatless industrial piece with dark utopistic... read more Joso, 07/08/2001

This second solo project from Peter Sal confirms that this brilliant producer is on the good way to be famous ! Based in Sonneberg, the German artist offers an awesome Acid Music chemical cocktail !
