Do you remember C-64 ? It was one of the world's most used home-computer in the eighties. It was made by Commodore and had a sound chip called SID which was generating very special sounds. About 20 years later, the nostalgic German producer and label manager Mooner decided to make a compilation of remixes using those video-game sounds. And here it is : eleven international artists made about 40 minutes of SID music, so great !! Some of the tunes were made with additional samples or lyrics (When I'm C-64 by Diska) !! Others were only made with C-64 sounds (listen to the fantastic Gnocchi Hockey, Extra Life, Lovebug or Manta Romantix)... After listening to this compilation, we can feel nostalgic and want to get back our old computer sleeping in a cupboard (what ? you dropped it ?! too bad !!) in order to watch demo-screens all night long or to play some games like Sanxion, Boulder Dash, Arkanoid, Great Giana Sisters, Gauntlet, IK+, Outrun, Warhawk, Wizball, Commando, Hacker, etc... So many many thanx to Mooner for this great record, we hope he will make another one soon !!
For SID sounds addicts, there are some software's which are able to play original C-64 music's on PC / Mac computers.
