Since "Simulationzeitalter", a year has passed. Or rather a century ! Today, machines speak, sing, cry or even complain. A perfect copy of human beings… for the moment only ! Here's one of various interpretations we could have listening to "Electro Pop", Anthony Rother's second album on his own label. Little Computer Man shows once again its brilliant science fiction talent, in a new and different musical genre. Less dark than he used to be in the past, Psi49net mastermind explores with success the poppy and melodic side of electro ("Electro Pop", "Eyes"), without never loosing his melancholic mood ("Friends are not electric", a quiet long-player close to "Biomechanik"). In a seven tracks LP, best ("I am", "Who do you love") runs alongside with good ("Tokyo", "Fly High") in a perfect harmony. Vocoder is controlled to enhance vision of this album focused on dancefloor. This 29 years old leader of electro in Germany, shortly on tour in USA, surprises us once again. Congratulations.
