après avoir traversé bermudes et glaciers, la soirée club-sandwich revient pleine de phéromones estivales et vous propose une plongée dans l'univers fluorescent de la performance lo-fi.
a 20 heures, pendant un apéritif de saison, une projection vidéique de "la fille qui avait des principes et le garçon qui n'en avait pas", une sorte de micro-cinéma ludique de dominique gilliot et ce sur grand écran.
a 20h30, un mini-concert de queen kong armé de ses claviers et autres glockenspiels, qui tentera de restituer, dans le désordre, certains des événements de sa vie quotidienne (sa vie en elle-même n'ayant rien d'exceptionnel)
arrive ensuite vers 21 heures et des poussières d'étoiles, le club des chats, stars de la scène kraut-rock, miaulant poèmes d'amour sur batterie énergique et guitares chevelues.
vers 23 heures, les électrons libres de plateau-repas rentrerons en contact avec le corps qui est en vous, et vous proposerons de remuer du. avant de vous extasier sur les rythmes fous de dj moulinex et ce jusque deux heures.
(il n'est pas impossible qu' intervienne également vincent madame et sa guitare toute d'amours sombres.)

dj lullabies a signe son premier maxi "this way " en septembre 2003, avec les remixes de rob mello (classic / uk) et lanoiraude (battle, missive, initialcut). il a ete salue par la presse et les djs : charles webster, alexkid, pacman. son second maxi "marmelade "est sorti en janvier 2004, avec les remixes d alexkid et thomas di matteo. le morceau figure sur de nombreuses compilations comme : cocoon mix by funk d'void, amnesia underground ibiza vol.4, paris lounge 4, tracklist 2 by dan ghenacia... de 2003 à 2004, lullabies a organisé les fameuses marmelades nights au pulp avec des invités comme purdey (nantes), isa (anvers), clémentine (lilles), cosy mozzy (brussels). une résidence qui lui a valu une reconnaissance internationale. lullabies vient de terminer, avec badced (subscience, dax riders) l enregistrement dun concept-album, sous le nom lullabad.

bad ced = aprés un passage déterminant par les fêtes d’ibiza (89), bad ced organize ses 1ere house party sur paris (91-92), monte ensuite omnisus (93), l’un des labels les plus en vue du moment. il est en charge de compilations thématiques : ambient-house-techno-hardcore et d’une partie des signatures du label : moody man, optic nerve, christopher just. produit également ses œuvres sosu divers pseudo et participe à de nombreuses colaborations, dont dax riders (94) qui l’associe à olivier ruel (daxman), avec lequel il s’échappe pour monter subscience (98). un 1er album des dax riders sort chez wea (99). les concerts s’enchainent…c’est alors que nico (erman) les rejoints sur la tournée. naturellement intégré au groupe, nos desormais 3 compères se retirent dans le sud de la france (2000) afin de produire leur nouvel album « backintown » (ulm/universal). plus récemment avec lullabies il vient de terminer l’enregistrement d’un concept-album, sous le nom lullabad.

jef k = native of paris, jef k started mixing records in 1992 after spending nine months in london. his groovy and sexy house sets made him quickly earn a reputation as one of the fastest rising djs amongst the french house scene.
jef has a bi- monthly saturday residency at the legendary rex club since 1998 and is a resident for the respect nights all over the world (including a residency at club fuse in brussels from 1999 to 2003).

he's also one of the main residents at infamous parisian parties open house since 2002 and at sven vath's club cocoon in frankfurt since the opening in 2004.

he has played festivals such as boréalis and les plages sonores in montpellier, soma, lunacy, xanadu and magic garden in paris. a huge traveler, bringing his skills to the top clubs in hong kong, singapore, kuala lumpur, tokyo, shangai, sydney, melbourne, auckland, buenos aires, mexico city, rio de janeiro, sao paulo, capetown, johannesburg, durban, moscow, kiev, llubjana, bratislava, sofia, prague, budapest, sarajevo, vilnius, stockholm, berlin, frankfurt, munich, hamburg, zurich, lausanne, london, nottingham, birmingham, ibiza, madrid, barcelona, la coruna, milano, lisbon, porto, amsterdam, rotterdam, eindhoven, antwerp, brussels, miami, new york, san francisco, dallas, atlanta, chicago and many other cities around the world.

in 1996, jef worked a & r for the french label distance . since then, he has been responsible for six compilations on the label- five volumes of the "my house" series, and the third volume of the "french sessions” series. these compilations had a great response nationally and internationally, and were rated “compilation of the year” by magazines such as coda and trax.

in 1997, krypton/ sony france released jef's "paris-chicago express" cd- a cajual and relief compilation. in the same year, he and cyril k (e-troneek funk) produced a track called "first step" which appeared on the "aline can dance" compilation project released by small/sony.
in june 2000, "watch out! 2000" was released- another mix-cd reflecting jef's residency at the watch out! party at the rex club. followed in 2003 by the "silver star hotel" compilation using only tracks from his label silver network.

in 1999, jef teamed up with his brother antoine, aka dj tony silver, to launch the silver network and fast forward ffwd record labels. silver network's first release by iz & diz- the what we need ep, appeared in the hype chart of dj magazine and was given four stars by muzik. it was later remixed by pepe bradock and freaks. the first fast forward release by e-troneek funk was rated a five out of five twice in muzik and appeared in update reviews.
silver network's other releases include artists kemetic just (usa), nightsource aka dj rasoul and miguel migs (usa), hanna (usa), toka project (uk), ciudad feliz (argentina), hanna (usa), patrik richard (sweden), neon heights (uk), karu (usa), spirit catcher (b), solid gold playaz (usa) and remixers pepe bradock (f), charles webster (uk), alex kid (f), dixon (d), freaks (uk), fresh & low (uk) to name a few.

some of the world leading electronic music artists have come together to make a tribute album for the synthesizer pioneer bob moog, on wednesday the 18th of october as an opening event for ade 2006 crème organization together with the immaculate conceptualists productions will present the compilation cd at the sugar factory in amsterdam, with performances of some of the artists that contributed tracks to the cd, like urban tribe (aka drexciyan dj stingray), alexander robotnick, legowelt, orgue electronique, luke eargoggle, kassen, traxx, rude 66, cosmic force, pawel blot, and tlr.

blixa bargeld, chanteur du groupe mythique einstürzende neubauten, ex-guitariste des bad seeds de nick cave, acteur, auteur, plasticien, est aussi performer. déjà invité par la station en 1998 pour son exposition “ serialbathroomdummyrun ”, il accepte à nouveau l’invitation pour livrer cette fois une performance au cours de laquelle il explore les frontières du langage et de la musique. les phrases, les mots et les syllabes se métamorphosent en architectures acoustiques, entre bizarreries retentissantes et fantaisies cacophoniques.
cette prestation sera précédée d’un apéro vidéo, avec des travaux d’artistes sélectionnés par la station. au programme, les oeuvres de fayçal baghriche, eric duyckaerts, gilbert caty, florian pugnaire, isabelle jelen, bruno pelassy, brice dellsperger...
l’alchimicinéma de jean-marc chapoulie clôturera cette soirée. ses films sans genre ni format, sans style ni époque, questionnent le spectateur sur ses certitudes devant l’image. un programme qui ne laissera personne indifférent.

basserk is the new fresh record label that started in november 2005 with a head office, loads of energy, enthousiasm and great plans in amsterdam. basserk will release records in different styles of electronic music (electro, pistol pop, breaks and more) they are always looking for new artists and new vibes but a very important aspect of the music that will be released on basserk is the power and energy that’s in it. the first release was a 12" of the electro (punk)/pistolpop band 3-1. four pumping tracks on vinyl. the record was a great success and is as good as sold out. the second release was a compilation cd with 14 different bands. most of them from the netherlands but also some bands from berlin and 1 from lille (france). a nice mix of talent, experience, different sounds and levels of energy. all releases are distributed by lowlands.be, the digital distribution is done by epm online. the night in bitterzoet is a nice reflection of the cd, there will be 4 live acts playing that are on the cd combined with some great dj’s. as always this night will rock from top to bottom.

are you fed up with local and national dj competitions? and than you only have your 5 seconds of fame and that’s all there is. in order to really get started an artist needs follow-up. twstd, in collaboration with dutch national radio 3 fm, vpro's 3voor12, paradiso and the sae, makes a difference and dj's start playing out on party’s and club nights immediately.

a massive dj competition offers structure in the search for the best maestro’s behind the decks. every month 16 talents battle against each other over 4 preliminaries, 2 semifinals and a final. the audience and the jury stipulate which dj get the 30 minutes airplay on dutch national radio 3fm and which dj gets a set at 3voor12 website. the final battle for the twstd-2006 title will be held in february 2007 at paradiso. the prize for winning either the public or the jury prize is two courses “electronic music production” at the sae (www.sae.edu).

the days when female djs just played lovey-dovey house and looked pretty are long gone. the girls have claimed their place in all styles of dance music and are right up there with the best of their male colleagues. in holland veteran dj’s like 100% isis, shinedoe & lady aida have paved the way and inspired lots of girls and women to step up to the decks and/or start producing. 10 years ago it was an exception to see a girl standing in a recordshop, listening to the latest tunes in between the record buffs and dj’s. nowadays in killa cutz don’t be surprised to see all four listening posts being occupied by women checking out new vinyl releases, be it house, minimal techno, electro-house or drum ‘n bass. so this year’s killa cutz instore will host an all female dj line-up playing deep minimal techno, tough tech-house, cool deephouse and the fattest electro-house. so come around for a drink and a listen!!

in 2006 studio 80 is, like last year, part of the amsterdam dance event. studio 80 wants to promote the experimental side of electronic music, and this has been the motivation for our line-ups during the ade 2006.

during this night, all the different styles of disco will be shown. disco is a genre which has continued developing itself in national and international scenes over the years. this night will feature, amongst others: italo, obscure disco, death disco, space disco, tacky classics & upfront sequences.

special act this night is up and coming belgian live act foxylane. this evening the many members of this act will make the disco even dirtier. foxylane, named after the neighbourhood where the members used to hang out, and consists of dj’s and musicians with a shared interest in music and clubbing. they describe their disco-techno as: “a new sexy groovy techno, mostly with live drums, a kinda accoustic, human techno.”

the night will also feature up and coming talents like modern dancing, mno and bijker.

rocket cinema strange movies has been created specially for children of all age who are still amazed by the magic of animation and cartoons!

‘rocket cinema vreemde films’ (strange movies) is a division of the rocket cinema film festival, that takes place in 6 different locations in amsterdam. the program consists short movies, animation, cartoons and new soundtracks produced by dj’s and live musicians including a slide-show workshop, live cartoon video art, and a selection of the best rocket clips program. you can expect tom & jerry caroons, obscure animation movies of jan svankmayer & the brothers quay and the pioneer masterwork of georges méliès. sugar factory line up are ir. vendermeulen, the wasp riders, airplain visuals & annie motion.


rocket cinema

rocket cinema is an amsterdam-based organisation specialising in film/music events. the idea behind rocket cinema came from a love of classic films and the realisation that many of these films are rarely shown in public. rocket cinema invites djs and musicians to make a new soundtrack for old films, thereby attracting a new audience into the world of classic films. it’s a sort of ‘pimp my film’ – in a musical sense – and it works!

the aim of the rocket cinema festival is to bring together the best international examples of current film/music collaborations and to re-stage some of our own successful projects in a festival spanning over 5 days in over 6 different venues in the heart of amsterdam.
