Control Freaks - An Electro Funk Compilation - Remote Audio

Collection of unreleased tracks from well-known artists and new talents in Uk, this first of three compilations (watch out for the next chapters "Beyond Control" and "Out of Control") draws up a unique inventory of the actual electro scene across the Channel. Instigated by Kurt Baggaley aka Scape One (World Electric, Satamile, Mass Transit) and Rob Euroh (Blue Juice), "Control Freaks" turns on two main sonorous lines: bass and melody. A permanent feature encountered in each of the eleven tracks from this CD, given as a model thanks to Carl Finlow aka Silicon Scally (20:20 Vision), Transparent Sound (Electrix), Lunar (Stripe Records) but also Daz Quayle (SCSI), Conner brothers under Bitstream pseudo (Pylon, Signal), without forgetting label owners themselves brilliant collaborations. From "Solaris" to "Mopoc", passing through "Tomorrow's Child", "Oddities" or "Absent", this superb musical collage offers a varied electro, alternately minimal, deep, groovy, dancefloor, futuristic or atmospheric. Available in vinyl version (second 12'' should be out soon), "Control Freaks" witnesses of range and maturity of UK electro scene that appears today as interesting as its US and German colleagues. Essential and magnificent!
