Against the current electro sound, discreet Douglas Patterson goes on with his exploration of tinged with melancholic old school music. After one album ("3 Dimensions Of Space") and three releases on Hoodwink, here he comes on Twilight 76, managed by Dj Godfather, charismatic leader of Ghetto Bass sound. In a obvious Detroit sound influence, Autobot-1000 delivers today a strong dancefloor EP where vocals enrich brilliant use of TR 808. "Bass Programmer" on A side appears as one of this four cuts highlights and refers directly to Cybotron's early works. More melodic, "Atomic" reminds Dopplereffekt cheap sounds. On the flip, Dj Dijital from Aux 88 (Direct Beat) offers an inspired rework of "Bass Programmer". At last, downtempo "Input / Output" in a Kraftwerk style, shows pure electro sensibility from its creator in a magic journey.
