Here comes a new recruit discovered by Holzplatten mastermind Brixton! Bjorn Bommersheim, whose name lets us think he's from a Nordic country, delivers on Düsseldorf premium label his first four tracks EP of a strong and refined techno. Heavily influenced by Detroit on "We Are The Underground", mysterious artist superposes some beautiful and ethereal strings before he transforms his title into a pernicious and lightly aggressive hit. In the same spirit, "I've Seen", build up upon a solid 4/4 beat, turns toward a linear music thanks to a very efficient lyrics loop. On the reverse, "Trans Atlantic" joins limpid and classy Diego or Kowalski (from Kanzleramt) techno. At last, "Gametime" demonstrates in a minimal and groovy register young talent musical potential. Hats off M. Bommersheim! www.pornostarmusic.com Nexus 6, 10/02/2003
