Various Artists - Autobot - Satamile CD 01

Started in 1995, Satamile celebrates today its tenth vinyl productions! A truly and enjoyable opportunity to (re)-discover international famous electro structure through its first compilation recounting New-York premium label highlights. No less than eleven tracks selected with care by Static parties promoter (let's read also Andrew A. Price interview on news pages) appear in CD format to give particularly Old Europe artists more than their due: Scape One (Remote Audio, Mass Transit, Templedog), Silicon Scally (SCSI, Firewire, Meuse) representing UK, Decal (alias Alan O Boyle & Dennis McNulty from Warp, Ultramack and Trama labels) coming from Ireland, Airlocktronics (Drive In's Alexander Crook) as well as Bolz Bolz (World Electric, Ersatz) for Germany, at last EMS (World Electric), Freezie Freekie (Satamile) et Satamile (Andrew A. Price himself) showing US side. If tracks impress because of their musical homogeneity and programming complexity, they don't have necessary the same intentions: while "Android Robotix", "The Silent Years" or "Flow" seem to be graded for the dancefloor, "Close Encounters", "Slow Decay" and "Take My time" for instance will aim more to your mind than to your feet in a domestic listening use. Completed by two unreleased tunes written by Satamile and Decal, this essential Best Of should overjoy deep, dark et robotic electro freaks. Brilliant!
