Label started in 2000 by Austrian Dj Glow, Trust goes on with its exploration of electro tendencies, welcoming today for its fourth release Lok44 aka Dan Lodig (Tension Records, Kurbel, Pomelo). Already credited on awesome On//Off:: Electro Developers Conference (Trust 03) compilation along with Scape One and Epy, the most Barcelonan artist from Vienna seems to be free from dancefloor obligations and delivers in four cuts format a deep, groovy and home listenable electro. In overture, "Ghetto Of The Mind" offers a beautiful two-step track, transformed in a hypnotic piece by use of soul vocal loops over minimal sounds. Less accessible "Flaix" ventures into brilliant dark and experimental landscapes in a Mat Carter (Sprungcartellwachs) style. In the same vein, organic "X-Step" multiplies melodic and bleepy interventions . At last, "Out The Box" with its offensive side and rough bassline, punctuates on a more rhythmic note this innovative, fragile and abstract 12''. Recommended!
