Daniel Bell - The button-down mind strikes back - Logistic 28

This compilation recently published by French label Logistic Records seems to get a strong positive feedback from the press and we have to say that it's not surprising at all! Indeed, the legendary American producer Daniel Bell aka DBX (author of the 1994 hit "losing control") shows with an amazing talent how a minimal techno / house mix can be perfect. It's difficult or rather unnecessary to detail this selection: you can buy it without listening to it!! We can only say that this mix is made of quality and rare tracks with a great technique. The sound is mostly deep (there are only two short journeys into dark territories) and always very funky, groovy and hypnotising. That's why it's easy to push down the "repeat" button of your cd player during the cd playing! So here is the list of the artists who have been selected by Daniel Bell (they can be very proud of this!) : Closer Musik (with their lovely "one two three - no gravity" that starts the mix), Soylent Green, Stax, Cabanne, John Tejada, The Drug Punks, Wolf n' Flow, Ricardo Villalobos, Akufen, Nutmeg, Rundfunk, Stephane A, Cobblestone Jazz, Anthony Shakir & Pepe Bradock. As you can see this is very underground... A CD full of emotion and intensity. Definitely essential !!
