About five years ago was born the Kône crew in Geneva / Switzerland. In 2001 the first release of the label was produced by Davecore, one of the structure's founders. And the second EP only came out in early 2003, once again brought by Davecore (check it: computer *.mod influences on it!!). This time the waiting was shorter since the third Kône has just been out! It's always about electro and this 10" is produced by The Trestristestigres, a Spanish trio formed in 1998 in Barcelona by Christian Ruiz, Jordi Carreras (DJ Gore) & Carlos Fraile (they already produce their first album "Oui nous sommes trois" on Satélite K). "Sea and cables" EP is following Kône 02 with success. Although it sounds very digital, and therefore very clean, this is top quality electro. On the A side, "Stereo" is very deep with its various strings and melodies. "Lia" starts the B side in an oldschool way with a vocoded voice, lo-fi sounds and a bassline à la "Space Invaders...". Finally "Konetic" ends this record with more efficiency: two basslines, a new vocoded voice and always quite deep sounds. Keep an eye on this label! Check mp3 samples on Kône web site !
