After only two releases, the Geneva young label of our friend Chaton - Plak Records - has just published it first CD album! Surprise: it's not about minimal techno or house like on the 12"s. This time, it is mainly electronica, experimental and downtempo with many influences: hip hop, electro, rock, noisy, dub or also kitsch... There are also a lot of samples that seem to come from movies. No doubt, the French-Swiss artist Hopen perfectly knows how setting up particular and captivating atmospheres. And guess what?! This album has been recorded live in January 2003 during a PlakRadio session on the internet radio Basic.ch!! In short, not always easy at first listening but really original...
