One of the numerous labels based in Cologne welcomes Michel Baumann's aka Jackmate who is known for many releases on Pokerflat, Playhouse, Mosaic, Kurbel or Perlon. With so prestigious references, it's absolutely no surprising that "Beaver Patrol" brings high quality music. Side A : an efficient track with nice sounds and strings that should remember you Detroit techno. Side B : at first, the style is more minimal but once again, the rhythm is pumpin' and the bassline is especially highlighted. At last, this EP ends with "Centerfolds", a so beautiful track : while the tempo is a little bit slower, deep sounds come with a heavy background (note the sub basses !). Simply excellent !!
