Despite a dj career started in 1989 and a couple of productions on Nova Zembla and Casanova Recordings, Break 3000 stays unfortunately as a unknown artist here in France. No doubt with this new EP on its very own Meuse Muzique label located in Maastricht, will help Peter Gijselaers to emerge from obscurity. Inspired by I-F and Legowelt retro disco sounds, Break 3000 delivers today four varied and successful tracks. While "Plastique People", featuring sexy Zusi, reminds us Miss Kittin and The Hacker musical works, "C'mon Girl" offers brilliant electro wave variations in a Ural 13 style. On the flip side, classic but focused on dancefloor "Sacrifice" combines efficient kick and light lyrics. At last, "Spacemaschinenreise", certainly the best tune, turns into a beautiful funky electro song, enhanced by sensual and deep vocoder. Promising !
